CHUN and CHUM Team Up to Support Mercy Housing's Welcome Home Project

Capitol Hill will soon have special neighbors moving into 1309 Grant Street. The Aromor Apartments will soon be home to 66 people who have faced homelessness. They will be given a new home to begin establishing their lives.  Mercy Housing is rehabilitating this historic building and are inviting nearby organizations and neighbors to participate in welcoming these new residents.

CHUN and CHUM (Capitol Hill United Ministries) are teaming up and inviting our members and neighbors to participate in either or both of the following projects to welcome these new neighbors into the Capitol Hill community. We are soliciting volunteers to help move our new neighbors into their homes and we are raising money to help furnish a room for one (or more) of the residents.

Contact CHUM or CHUN (please e-mail Shayne Brady - shaynebrady@comcast.net or Jim Slotta - jslotta@earthlink.net) to volunteer your time in setting up the rooms (May 16) or mail your tax-deductible contribution to the CHUN office (1290 Williams St.) prior to May 15!  Thank you!!

Thank you to The Denver Foundation!
