Mural Project
2010 People's Fair Mural Project Exhibition!
The People's Fair Mural Project is a team mural painting competition taking place on-site at the People’s Fair, with the goal of giving local youth a creative outlet for self-expression. This year’s participating Mural Project organizations included Platte Forum, Colorado’s Finest Alternative High School, Urban Peak, Adolescent Counseling Exchange (ACE), Access Gallery, Boys and Girls Club: Wilfley Branch, and Family Tree Gemini.
Each organization formed teams of up to six members and spent two months before the People's Fair working together to conceptualize the perfect design based on the year’s theme: “change”. The teams had one full day to paint their mural on Saturday, June 5, and after giving a small presentation on their project, were judged by a panel of professional artists on Sunday, June 6.
